The men’s Division 3 Pennant side’s season is on life support.
The side sits on 17.5 points, ranking second in our Section behind undefeated Harbord (27 points.) They meet Harbord at Harbord on April 8, and it is an absolute necessity that they have a big win if they are to stay in the race. For this match, Chris Moore’s team will include Pete Sims (3rd), Scott Murphy (2nd) and Col Coupland (lead); John Mitchell’s team will include Warren Beeby, Daniel Trevor and John Kenniwell and Orazio Alessi’s team will consist of Marc Alessi, Stan Gibson and Grahame Goldberg.
The final match of the preliminary rounds will be against Willoughby Park on April 15 at St Ives Bowling Club, a neutral ground. As there are four sections in Division 3, the preliminary rounds will be followed by a semi-final and final. The days set aside to play washed-out matches are April 16, 26 and 30.
The Section’s individual player rankings after three games place Seaforth’s Daniel Trevor at No. 5 and John Kenniwell at 8th.
