All the top Grade 6 teams in the Blue and White Sections have had two wins and a loss after three rounds.
The White team is running second in Section 1 on 19 points. Manly, to whom the side lost last Saturday, leads on 21 points. The White’s next match is against Pittwater at Pittwater on Wednesday, April 8.
The individual rankings in Section 1 are dominated by Manly players, but show Val Roberts 5th, Peter Cole 7th, Orazio Alessi 8th and Marc Alessi 9th.
The Grade 6 Blue side is coming third in Section 4 on 17 points, behind Dee Why on 20 and Harbord on 21. Their next match is against Dee Why at Dee Why, also on Wednesday, April 8. In Section 4, the individual pecking-order is dominated by Harbord and Dee Why players, but shows June McKeown at 8th, Rosemary Hickey 9th, Noreen Moore 10th and Chris Moore 11th.
Apologies to Chris Moore’s team. It was reported last week that the team lost 16-24. In fact, the game was a lot closer, finishing at 21-24.
As there are four sections in Division 6, the season-proper will be followed by a semifinal and final.
With the leaderboard in both competitions so close, only the reckless would lay bets on the winners with half the season still to go.
