The replacement of the old, damaged parquet floor is creeping along.
A coating of waterproofing membrane has been applied to the slab, and this coming Tuesday the
hollows in the slab will be filled with a self-levelling compound.
The new vinyl fauxtimber floor will be installed when everything dries. As soon as vinyl planks have
settled in, we can walk on the floor again and hire the hall to interested parties.
Thecost of the complex job will be covered by the proceeds of an earlier insurance claim for damage to the parquet floor.
